Our Early Years curriculum is the vital foundation upon which our children build their future learning. Our aim is, first and foremost, for the children to develop important skills such as curiosity, creativity, persistence, imagination, confidence and resourcefulness. Our indoor and outdoor environments offer a wealth of experiential learning opportunities to meet this aim and to develop a love of learning.
The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage. The three prime areas particularly crucial for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive are:
- Communication and language
- Physical development
- Personal, social development
There are four specific areas, through which the three prime areas are strengthened and applied
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design.
In addition to this, our Nursery children receive weekly specialist teaching in French & Music. Our passionate and experienced team works closely with parents to ensure that every child has the opportunities, activities and resources to develop into a happy, confident and independent individual.
